Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti Pair of Vela Alta Lounge Chairs, 1970s

 

This pair of ‘Vela Alta’ lounge chairs was designed by Giovanni Offredi in the 1970s and produced in Italy by Saporiti. The chair features a curved backrest perfectly balanced by the elegant curvature of the lower side as if its form was created by a combination of two opposing forces. The white leather and the lateral steel plates give these chairs a graceful and proportioned volume.
